For more than 220 years, the Fru Haugans Hotel has proudly served its hungry guests, as well as the many locals who appreciate a good meal. Restaurant Ellen and Fruen Bar, located in the oldest part of the hotel, have a historic ambience and are renowned for their fine dining and quality drinks, respectively. Hagestuen, a banquet hall with a classic interior, is ideal for special events. The latest addition is Hjørnet Bar with outdoor seating on the new terrace overlooking the gardens.

Restaurant Ellen
In 1885, Ellen Haugan served food and refreshments to her first guests. Ever since then, the menu at Fru Haugans Hotel has been based on quality local ingredients, with many recipes inspired from abroad. Part of Mrs. Haugan’s success was delighting Helgelanders with fine-dining exotic dishes accompanied by perhaps their first glass of French wine. But her vision embraced far more: to create a venue that fostered memorable experiences and good conversation. Five generations and 130 years later, Restaurant Ellen continues the proud tradition. Although the restaurant has been refurbished, the locale retains its sense of history, as does our menu: the very best ingredients of Northern Norway, inspired by culinary impulses from throughout the world.

Restaurant Hagestuen
Combining traditional Norwegian comfort foods and cuisine from various European cuisines, Restaurant Hagestuen is renown for its quality food and service. While it's menu varies weekly to accommodate fresh produce, Mrs. Haugan's most famous dessert, caramel pudding, remains year round for all guests to enjoy.

Fruen Bar
Original timber walls creates an authentic experience at the Fruen Bar to relax and revel in an intimate space. Weekend nights at the bar and lounge have proved to be a popular club venue with a new renovated dance floor and live music.

Hjørnet Bar
Hjørnet Bar is found in the corner of the hotel's newest wing. Adjoining it is a terrace with outdoor tables. Whether indoor our outdoors, guests can sip on a refreshing cocktail, a good pint, or a glass of wine – and enjoy lively music while savouring the great view of the Vefsna river and Øyfjell mountain.
