  • Unsafe area/Bathrooms need updating

    Visited for short break. Hotel itself is full of character. Room was spacious with two double beds in. Bathroom (not really bath by UK standards as very shallow) has shower over bath. Shower curtain rail broken and positioned very low. Bathroom very small. Have to close door fully to get out of bath. Appears in need of refurbishment. Very disappointed in area. First day we arrived we went for a walk and ended up on a street round the corner with lots of homeless people, begging for money, taking drugs openly and injecting. Needles on road and paths and in area at back of hotel where parking is and where Uber dropped off and picked up. Would stay at hotel if in different area but unfortunately not paying this one a visit again. As an aside, tea/coffee making facilities should be provided in rooms as standard as that's a normal expectation of what a hotel provides.

    San Francisco was a lovely place to visit and thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

  • Nicely priced hotel at good location

    Hotel with good location, rooms are clean with very accommodating staff.
    I forgot my wristwatch after checking out, came back after few hours and Rosa from housekeeping was able to retrieve it within minutes.

  • If you book through Expedia, be careful

    The real issue is that I reserved multiple rooms through Expedia for others attending a business meeting. The communication difficulty appears to be between them. Confirming, changing names to rooms (since Expedia automatically puts them all under my name, and I'm never present), and any type of cancelation (had to cancel a night for two people) causes confusion at the reservation desk. Not really the hotel's fault, but it becomes unwieldy and difficult on the phone.

    The hotel is weirdly managed by staff, with house keeping happening sometimes at 9pm or early morning.
    The room smelled moldy and the AC unit was old and extremely loud.
    Overall it was disappointing to say the least, with no desire to stay there again.
    It's shame because the building is very cool, with a historical vibe and look.

  • Great staying

    I enjoyed the hotel very much. The rooms were clean and comfortable, location is nice and the people in the lobby were very nice and sympathetic, specially Rolando that helped me a lot during my staying
