Overview

The former home of a naval officer, the historic Inn at Perry Cabin is situated on waterfront of the Miles River by the Chesapeake Bay. Built in 1816, the Inn was designed by Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry’s aide-de-camp, Samuel Hambleton. The design concept was inspired by the Commodore's cabin on the U.S.S. Niagara. The stately Greek Revival manor in picturesque St. Michaels beckons to those who seek the small town charm and colonial history of Maryland’s Eastern Shore.

Decorated with nautical accents, the 78-room Inn has expanded to include a pool, spa, gardens, tennis courts, fitness center, and golf course. For dining, the Inn’s AAA Four Diamond restaurant, Stars, is regarded as the best restaurant in this corner of the Eastern Shore, offering both local seafood and Continental fare. The Purser's Pub provides another wonderful place for guests to dine, serving locally-inspired small plates like crab cakes. Travelers will enjoy the full-service spa and abundant recreational activities. The Inn’s sophisticated meetings and event venues provide settings for ceremonies, celebrations, business meetings, and receptions.

Nestled on 26 acres of forest and farmland along the beautiful Miles River, the charming Inn at Perry Cabin enchants visitors with stunning waterside views and modern comforts. It is just moments by foot, bicycle, car, and boat from the quaint town of St. Michaels, putting some of the region’s best shopping, antiquing, and dining at visitor fingertips. St. Michaels hosts a variety of attractions and historical structures connected to the county’s colonial past. Today, the Inn at Perry Cabin remains the tourist destination for visitors who seek to experience tranquility and casual luxury by the coastline.
