The Clubhouse

The Clubhouse at Kilkea Castle has undergone extensive remodeling and sits proudly overlooking the 9th hole with occasional glimpses of the historic 12th century Castle filtering through the windows. The Clubhouse offers the choice of two eateries: The Bistro or Hermione's Restaurant.

The Bistro

The Bistro is the estate's informal dining option.

Hermione's Restaurant

Hermione's Restaurant offers guests a sophisticated setting that overlooks the golf course's 9th hole.

Restaurant 1180

With windows looking out upon a rose garden and the 18th hole of the golf course, Restaurant 1180 is the estate's fine dining establishment where seasonal produce highlights Ireland's traditional cuisine in dishes such as salted cod, citrus cured salmon, and a selection of local cheeses.

The Keep

The Keep, aptly named for its location within the main estate building, is the hotel's bar, which also offers food options. Guests can snack on salads and sandwiches or opt for heavier fare such as shepherd's pie and beef cheek macaroni and cheese.

Afternoon Tea

Kilkea Castle offers a traditional afternoon tea service in the Drawing Room. Guests can enjoy finger sandwiches, homemade scones, and glasses of Champagne in this luxurious space. This experience can also be booked for groups so those hosting weddings, reunions, or business events can coordinate with the hotel to offer private afternoon tea events for their guests.

Picnic Baskets

Guests can enjoy a picnic on the beautiful 180 acre estate or by the River Griese taking in the Irish countryside whilst enjoying a variety of flavors included in the various picnic packages the hotel offers for purchase.
