Discover the Oatlands Park Hotel, which was once part of a grand estate that belonged to King Henry VIII of England.
The Mulberry Restaurant
The Mulberry Restaurant at Oatlands Park Hotel showcases modern British cuisine with a twist, using the very best seasonal ingredients. The restaurant itself has a modern design and elegant style with exquisite views, overlooking the Oatlands parkland. Stately pillars, high ceilings and with luxury furnishings, the restaurant opens out onto a terrace, making the Mulberry Restaurant the perfect place for a truly unique dining experience. Named after Oatlands Park’s royal heritage and magnificent grounds, as many Mulberry trees have royal associations dating back to the Tudor era. Oatlands Park boasts it’s very own beautiful mulberry tree.
The Oatlands Park Hotel is also home to its own special Afternoon Tea session, one of the greatest culinary pastimes in Great Britain. Set in the splendor of the Mulberry Restaurant with views across the Surrey countryside, enjoy skillfully prepared homemade sandwiches, scones, cakes and pastries accompanied by a delicious range of teas from world-renowned boutique tea house, T2. And, of course, no Afternoon Tea would be complete without a glass of Champagne! (Afternoon Tea is served from 3pm to 5pm Monday to Saturday, and orders should be placed before 4:30pm.)
The 1509 Bar
Adjoining the Mulberry Restaurant is Bar 1509, named for the year when King Henry VIII was first crowned. This spectacular dining establishment also acts as a tribute for the king’s love of socializing and entertaining. Bar 1509 serves an enviable selection of drinks in an elegant setting. As one of Weybridge’s most celebrated cocktail destinations, it has an array of beverages from draught beers, spirits, cocktails and more. Choose one of Bar 1509’s fine wines or ask its mixologist to create something special to suite any palate.
