The hotel is in a nice setting close to Weybridge. I will list the good and bad points we found:
Cons: The Superior room we were given was not as shown on their website and we requested a bigger one. Although the hotel was well under capacity we had to pay for an upgrade.
The air conditiong in the room was completely inadequate, and we had one particularly uncomfortable night.
We sat in the garden terrace area for 30 miinutes without being asked for our order. I went to the bar to request service and it took another 10 minutes for them to come to us. The waiter was quite unpolite when taking our order and again when briniging out our drinks.
The restaurant /bar staff did not seem particularly happy in their jobs and this seemed to be reflected in their attitude.
On the second morning of our stay, the waiter got our breakfast order confused, retrieving ours from another room, a bit unnerving in the covid climate.
Pros: The breakfast, now served in your room, was delicious and surprisingly very hot.
The building is quite grand, although a little dated in places.

How nice to get back to a hotel, albeit in difficult times. But even in this Covid secure period, the staff are friendly and efficient, the hotel is lovely and the bed marvellously comfortable. Food offer was understandably somewhat curtailed at this time.

We had arranged to visit relatives near Hampton Court Palace as soon as the lockdown was lifted, and thought we'd treat ourselves to a night at this very grand hotel. I'm pleased to say it didn't disappoint, and was every bit as plush as it looked in the photos. Our room was one of the refurbished doubles, and was nicely decorated (our outlook was over the kitchen roof at the rear of the building, but it wouldn't have mattered anyway as the windows had 'bobbly' bathroom glass in them so we couldn't see out in any case. This didn't really matter for a one night stop-over though). All the correct covid compliant measures were in place, and we felt happy that every effort had been taken to make people feel safe. However, these measures have been taken a bit too far in some instances. We had seen on the website that the hotel had outside seating, and as the weather was so beautiful we had hoped to take breakfast on the terrace. So it was a bit of a shame to be told on arrival that we would have to complete a room service form to eat our breakfast in our room. When we got to our room there wasn't a pen, there were only paper cups to use for hot drinks but no spoons or milk cartons to make one with! (Luckily I had a pen on me to complete the form). When the breakfast arrived the following morning, it was left on the floor outside our room on a large heavy tray. The main issue though was how to eat a full English breakfast without two seats in the room. Our room only had the basic desk with one chair, so I had to improvise by padding the luggage rack with a bath towel so that I could sit up to eat. Minor niggles aside, the food was brilliant with a very good selection of continental items as well as a full cooked breakfast with good quality sausages. (Everything on the tray was individually wrapped in clingfilm). We really enjoyed our stay, and it was lovely to have a quiet stroll around the grounds after breakfast (there were very few people about the day we were there). The only thing that kept us from rating this hotel as excellent was the lack of thought over the breakfast arrangements. Considering we only crossed paths with one other couple, it seems a great pity that the outdoor seating wasn't in use (although there may have been another reason we weren't made aware of). We did notice that a large new decking area is being constructed on the lawn, so maybe plans are afoot.I understand that in the current climate safety measures are important, but I do hope the right level of protection can be provided without compromising the 4 star experience in future.

Very good hotel with high standards all round. The hotel itself should really be discribed as a conference centre with accomadation and consists of a large open reception area which incorporates a bar area with limited seating leading through to a spacious restaurant. There is i think a gym on site but very little else appart from multiple conference/meeting rooms. Nice grounds at the back of the hotel.Hotels location means there is very little within walking distance and transport is needed to access attractions but ok as a base to explore further. Hampton Court approx 5 miles. Food in the restaurant is as you would expect, excellent breakfast and evening meals but with very limited access to other establishments you may feel you have to eat here. Be aware if you do there is a %12.5 service charge added. This makes a big difference to your final bill on what is expensive fayre to begin with, is not pointed out to you [ on menu in very small print ] and is added whether you are a lone dinner or a larger group. I have been told that this charge can be removed but must be chalanged at the time, so check before you sign. Bar prices are also on the high side. In summary a good bed and breakfast rate can soon esculate and make for an expensive short break.

I spent a Sunday night in March 20 at the Oatlands Park Hotel where I found the overall stay perfect. The service around the hotel was excellent. The food and ambience of the restaurant both at dinner and breakfast was impressive. Our room was very good ...the bed...the size and the bathroom.
    We will return!!
