Heaven, Paradise, Serenity, Peace , Tranquility

This resort is my favorite place I've ever been.
The beauty is breathtaking at every turn.
    5 Star !

There aren't enough words to describe the top notch level of superior service by literally every person in their employ.
There is no request too big, and all executed with sheer delight .

    The food is 5 star!

The facility is simply the most amazing place.
If you are looking to get away and relax this is the place .

Enjoy my pictures , they don't do justice ...

  • Great 4 Days

OVI is definitely a 5 STAR! Reception Staff where efficient, professional and most welcoming.
We chose to eat at Jimmy's Pub the first evening. We met 'Jeremy' the manager of the establishment and a man with a '40 Karat' personality and the epitome of the 'Energizer Bunny'. The menu ranges from Vegan to the heartier fare. My wife and I shared was the Wagu Beef Tacos, an excellent choice.

I highly recommend a sophisticated dining experience on the Terrace of Olivella at sunset. Reservations are highly recommended on weekends. 'Jeremy' secured our reservations for 6:15 ( perfect time). The view is spectacular and service outstanding. Our server was 'Nicole'. She was well acquainted with the menu and the nuances of each dish. She was efficient, polite and very professional. 'Nicole' just never connected with us. She didn't seem have an engaging personal side to herself. We would have enjoyed learning more about Olivella. 'Nicole' presented us with the bill and we never saw her again. I asked a buss boy if he could collect our bill. We almost had a 'Perfect 10' dining experience.

We repaired to the Oak Room and met one fantastic Publican, 'Matt'. A man of many talents and experiences. His personality was open and engaging but never wavering from his duties to the other patron. Our conversations ranged from photography to mixology. 'Matt' concocted drinks orders that amazed the average beer drinker, me. Sitting in the Oak Room brought the evening to a 'Perfect 10'.

  • HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. RUDE FRONT DESK SAVE YOUR MONEY

by hellofrom on 2019-07-14 10:28 am

If I could give it 0 stars I would based on their service, customer service and staff. . They claim they are a 5 star American Express fine hotel resorts hotel. Amex card holders are used to travelling with high end hotels and excellent service. If you are looking for any kind of decent service or just an upscale hotel or fine customer service. This is not place. Please save ur money. They are 1 star for service. The worst. Rude rude Staff. Rude front desk. Marriot will treat u better.

It's hard to explain all the mishaps in our horrible overly priced 1 weekend , but imagine the front desk lies about why your room is not ready until 5pm literally the front desk lies. They caught red handed lying. .( btw we booked Thru Amex travel agency So we are suppose to get early chrck in / late check out, free breakfast etc. etc. ).

Imagine you are traveling with couples and they allow the Adult pool to be used for kids so you feel like It's Disneyworld!! ( I mean a compete zoo). imagine housekeeping doesn't clean your room until 4 or 5pm and that's after you call housekeeping. , imagine you can't get a complimentary bicycle in the morning because its first come first serve and then the next morning you have to set ur alarm at 7am to grab the bikes before anyone else. And ruin your morning sleep. IMagine the spa has no appts, imagine the front desk check in person is rude, condensing and just doesn't give a Sxxt. Imagine the front desk manager doesn't give a xxxx either. Worst customer service. Imagine that they don't tell you that you need breakfast reservation at restaurant in morning and then you walk up and can't get a seat outside ( with a million tables open because u didn't make a resevation ) and no one told u u need a freakin resevation.
Imagine you are trying to get some rest by the pool. And both the kids pool and the adult pool is crowed with families, ( they allowed kids at adult pool this particular weekend and never told us couples). And that now the quiet spa pool has no chairs available. There is literally no place to go. Imagine , having the front desk tell you that our reservation agent (of their hotel ) on the phone never promised you what you said u heard and accuses you of lying. Imagine how the rooms are Musty and very outdated and room was very expensive ( we picked one of the largest rooms and it was ugly abd outdated.

On a positive note, the food was good. And the views of the grounds and mountains are nice. . It's just not worth the money to be treated sooooo rude. Save your money. There is plenty of places nearby. Ask me any questions. I can tell you more even more about our experience. It's just too hard to put it in writing. I literally just got home. I'm still stewing!!!!

  • Serene, sublime and spectacular

The Ojai Valley Inn qualifies as a best vacation contender. Everything about the Inn is thoughtful and beautiful. The property takes your breath away - nestled into the Topatopa mountains, the Inn is a large property landscaped with abundant fragrant flowers that surround the buildings and winding golf course. There is beauty everywhere you look.
The rooms reflect the grounds - handsome and comfortable. Amazing pillows. All amenities. We enjoyed coffee on the balcony every morning.
The spa is beyond. The treatments are state of the art and delivered by very skilled staff. The spa offers treats - make sure to try the lavender lemonade. Lavender is a theme at the Inn - it's incorporated everywhere.
The Tranquility pool - adults only - was our go to spot after a workout in the ultra modern workout room. The salt water pool has poolside service all day. The salads were beyond belief - fresh and healthy. Staff brings out little treats of specialty juice or virgin cocktails to try a few times a day. That certainly worked on us. Sometimes we skipped the virgin part.
The property offers a variety of different restaurants from grab and go to high-end. We ate at every spot and enjoyed the variety - all fresh food. The Neff bar is a must. The bar is named after the architect of the property (founded by Mr. Libby of Libby Glass in O-H) Everyone at the property is so friendly. Shout out to Sam, Erika, Julie, Ian, Garrett and all the professional staff that work hard to make sure you can relax.
One note - the rooms are located in mission-style buildings that are concrete with open hallways. It took a day or two to get used to the noise from the hallways and all the golf carts wizzing around but I didn't notice after a while.
My measure of a great hotel - regardless of the price range - is the offer of flavored water in the lobby. Walked in and there were three flavors.
I need to go back soon because I left a piece of my heart there.

  • Exudes an energy of enchantment and elegance

From the minute we pulled up to the front gate, I knew that our stay at the Ojai Valley Inn was going to be delightful. Every single staff member from the valets, to the front desk, to the poolside servers were impeccably dressed, authentically warm and attentive.
One of the most memorable experiences was the golf cart ride to our room near Jimmy's Pub. The driver took us the long way around the property to give us a tour of the grounds before dropping us off at our meticulous room with a balcony overlooking the expensive landscape of the majestic Topatopa mountains. I was blown away!
After spending the day in the adults only? pool, relaxing on bean bag floats, enjoying fruit filled white sangria, we washed up and headed to dinner at the Oaks restaurant, overlooking the 200 year old lantern lit oak trees on the golf course. Eating the best seared scallops I have ever had, watching the resort guests enjoy the lovely golf course under the oak trees, and being served by exceptional servers was like a dream. I can't say enough good things about my experience at the Oaks Restaurant and the Ojai Valley Inn. Bravo to the management!!!! I can't wait to return.
