Accommodations
Each of The Caledonian Edinburgh’s 231 rooms and suites feature the finest fabrics, fittings, and furniture. With extensive views over the city, including some with spectacular views of Edinburgh castle, each air-conditioned guestroom offers WiFi connectivity, a flat-screen television, and exclusive Salvatore-Ferragamo bath products.
The iconic Queen Carriage rooms celebrate the rich railway history of the hotel. Every detail inside the room replicates the finishes that would have appeared within the historic railway carriages that operated out of Princes Street for many years. The Caledonian also offers novelty suites, such as the Billy Gairloch Suite, The Caledonian Suite, and the Alexander Graham Bell Suite. The Billy Gairloch Suite is named after The Caledonian Edinburgh’s longest-standing employee, who worked for fifty years as a member of the hotel’s Concierge. The Caledonian Suite has grand views of Edinburgh Castle, and offers three interconnected bedrooms with a spacious lounge area. Named after the famous, Edinburgh-born inventor, the Alexander Graham Bell Suite features a vintage telephone, a gilt-framed mirror, and a traditional fireplace with a special, contemporary twist.
