  • Very interesting and beautiful Inn.

My great grandmother lived there in 1880 so it was a thrill for me to visit. The Inn was very clean, the bed comfortable, the staff was so friendly. The nightly port in the Library was a great way to meet others. The old photos and antiques were beautiful. The morning free breakfast was very good.

The "Martha" is a beautiful place. The grounds are just gorgeous. I traveled with my husband and we really enjoyed the history and pretty surroundings. I would recommend this Inn. I am not sure that my younger grandchildren would want to stay there. The older ones would.

  • Delightful stay!

We stayed at the Martha 10 years ago and loved it. So we were excited to go back. It was just as wonderful as we remembered. Breakfast was outstanding and a glass of wine in the library great. The spa is lovely and the hot tub was a perfect ending to a spa treatment!!! It's a very special place.

  • Awesome Stay at the Martha

A hotel/resort in a charming southern town with rich history. Our room was beautiful, clean and private. The staff was welcoming, accommodating and knowledgeable of the various activities Ani Heinz offers. Attention to the details of our visit made us feel like royalty. Looking forward to our next visit.

  • Martha Washington Inn

This is an historic hotel of America. The main part of the building was built in the early 1830's and the two wings where the rooms are in 1867. It is full of antique furniture, the floors creak and are uneven, but for me that was part of the charm. Some people might not feel that way. It was a little pricey and it is adult oriented , not a lot for very young children to do. They do have a pool. Breakfast is included and there is no charge for parking. Right across the street from the Barter Theater which is great.
