Cooperative Marketing Program
Extend your reach with the Historic Hotels Worldwide Co-op Program. Our digital components allow you to deliver your message to the heritage and cultural travelers we know best. Your co-op campaign includes featured placement on HistoricHotels.org, online media campaigns, social media campaigns, one dedicated e-blast, and inclusion in the Discover & Explore e-newsletter. Promote your hotels and special events to a targeted number of heritage and cultural travelers from an email database of 30,000 unique emails, 60,000+ social followers and more. Preservation Magazine Advertising
The award-winning Preservation, the quarterly magazine of the National Trust for Historic Preservation features in-depth articles, elegant narratives, and vibrant photography of the most beloved historic buildings, sacred places, and heritage travel destinations in the United States. Preservation inspires readers not only to learn more about the challenges and joys of preservation, but also to visit historic places through its extensive travel section. The magazine is distributed to over one million households each quarter, including the National Trust for Historic Preservation members and can be found in over 170 Historic Hotels of America member hotels and 35,000 guestrooms. Additional Promotions and Opportunities
Hotels can participate in regular campaigns, including City Spotlights and thematic and seasonal campaigns. These promotions are complimentary, but require the National Trust for Historic Preservation member rate and a historic package loaded to HistoricHotelsWorldwide.com. The National Trust for Historic Preservation in the United States, a member of the International National Trusts Organization, provides benefits to Historic Hotels Worldwide through editorial and advertising opportunities in Preservation, the magazine of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

Affinity Partner Promotions
Through partnerships with relevant affinity partner organizations such as the National Trust for Historic Preservation in the United States, a member of the International National Trusts Organization, hotels can take advantage of additional exposure, promotions, and campaigns. Some promotions require offering a two-night stay and others may lead to online articles.

StraxAR’s patented technology transforms static objects, pamphlets, and even magazine ads into interactive storytelling opportunities, making historic hotels a natural fit.When using the StraxAR app at a Historic Hotel, guests can simply point their devices at historic artifacts, architectural features, signs, or artwork within the hotels to unlock engaging multimedia content, including videos, narratives, and guided tours. This seamless integration of AR technology enhances the emotional and intellectual connection guests have with the rich history at historic hotels—all while driving revenue by pushing users to explore on-site amenities, add-ons, activities, F&B, giftshop, and more.

The Time Capsule
Every other month, Historic Hotels Worldwide distributes an internal e-newsletter to all participating hotels about sales initiatives, events, marketing programs, revenue-generating ideas, and other important information. This essential communication informs hotels about special projects and keeps them connected to Historic Hotels to Worldwide.

Client & Media Showcases
Each year, Historic Hotels organizes specific events to help hotels meet and network with clients in a marketplace reception-style format. Typically, these marketplace events attract 75-100 clients, 40-75 media, and 25-65 hotel representatives and rotate in locations, including Chicago, New York, San Francisco, and Washington, DC.

Tradeshows
Throughout the year, Historic Hotels exhibits at national and international tradeshows and encourages hotels to participate in these events. By sharing in the exhibit cost, participants are able to attend a greater number of shows, increase their customer contact, and maximize exposure.

Preservation Client Database Program
Historic Hotels Worldwide has retooled, expanded, and enhanced its popular Preservation Client Database Program, which features more than 4,000 preservation-friendly organizations and historic preservation offices in the United States, with a demonstrated affinity for hosting meetings and events in historic venues.

Member Hotels provide Historic Hotels Worldwide with exclusive group sales offers suitable for inclusion in monthly e-blasts sent to all contacts listed in the Preservation Client Database. RFPs submitted by meeting planners will be forwarded to the Historic Hotels Worldwide Global Sales Office for review and then sent to the appropriate hotel(s) for response. Preservation Client Database e-blasts are sent on the third Wednesday of each month and each e-blast features group offers from a maximum of ten hotels. The participation fee is USD 375 for a shared, multi-hotel e-blast and USD 950 for an exclusive e-blast featuring a single hotel.
