Charmingly decorated and comfortably appointed, each of the 26 guestrooms at the Walaker Hotell offers a cozy, homelike ambiance, with beautiful views of the fjord or garden to match. The hotel’s accommodations are divided between three unique buildings.
The main building, which dates back to between 1630 and 1650, has been hosting travelers passing through Solvorn for over 380 years since the hotel was a guesthouse and coaching inn. The Tingstova building is equally historical, tracing all the way back to 1630. Given their storied setting, guestrooms in both buildings are fittingly decorated with period-inspired furnishings and architectural elements, allowing guests to feel like they are sleeping in a piece of history. The annex, in contrast, was constructed in 1964, with sizeable guestrooms outfitted with more contemporary décor that still has plenty of character. Finally, the Walaker Hotell will also receive a new addition in 2024. Villa Walaker will offer four newly renovated guestrooms with modern furnishings, perfect for those wanting to enjoy the historical charms of the hotel alongside contemporary comforts.
