• Explore the Ed Koch Queensboro Bridge by bicycle or foot. Originally designed by architect Henry Hornbostel, this impressive nine-lane cantilever structure is over 110 years old. The bridge’s 1987 renovation project was completed in 2012 at a cost of over $300 million. It was designated as a National Historic Civil Engineering Landmark by the American Society of Civil Engineers on its centennial anniversary.

• Stroll to Roosevelt Island’s Franklin D. Roosevelt’s Four Freedoms Park. Designed by American architect Louis Kahn in 1972, the Four Freedoms Park memorial pays homage to President Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s famous “Four Freedoms” speech.
