The inn is divided into 3 sections: The Historic Main Inn, West Plaza, and East Plaza. Sleep soundly at Colonial Inn with guestrooms that are thoughtfully curated and styled. Guestroom décor and design draw inspiration from the talented and budding artist known in Lake Michigan, Tricia Vergelle Brown. Her unique style is inspired by designer Lilly Pulitzer patterns and design. The spirit of Michigan beachscapes can be seen throughout guestrooms in the Historic Main Inn for guests to admire.
The Historic Main Inn Guestrooms
The Historic Main Inn King Room features one king-size bed, a gas fireplace, and a private bath with a bathtub and shower combination. Although the room does not include a dedicated balcony or patio, guests have access to a shared library with space for reading, relaxing, or gathering over coffee.
The Standard Double is located in the Historic Main Inn, the property’s original building. A gas fireplace and private bath with a bathtub and shower combination complement access to the shared library.

Located on the first floor of the Main Inn, the Executive Suite features one king-size bed in the living area and two queen-size beds in a separate bedroom. The suite also includes two sitting areas, a gas fireplace, and a spacious bath with a jetted bathtub; when connected with Room 40, the three-bedroom configuration accommodates up to 10 guests with two full baths.
West Plaza
Located in the West Plaza, the Deluxe Double features double beds, and a fireplace with a sitting area. A private patio provides convenient access to the swimming pool and enclosed hot tub, while the bath includes a bathtub and shower combination.

East Plaza
Located in the East Plaza, the Deluxe Single features one king-size bed, a fireplace, and a sitting area. A private patio overlooks the landscaped grounds, while the spacious bath includes a bathtub and shower combination.
The East Plaza Premium Double features two double beds and a sitting area arranged in front of the fireplace. A private patio provides views of the landscaped grounds, while the spacious bath includes a large jacuzzi tub and shower combination.
Located in the East Plaza, the Deluxe Double provides two double beds, a fireplace, and a comfortable sitting area. The accommodation also includes a private patio overlooking the grounds and a spacious bath with a bathtub and shower combination.
The detached Garden Apartment features one king-size bed, a full living room with a gas fireplace, and a private garden patio. Designed for extended stays, the apartment also includes a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, an attached bath with a bathtub and shower combination, and a stacked washer and dryer.
