    spectacular accomadations and service

Everything about this place, from the grounds to the employees, was perfection. I was beyond impressed with the service, especially from Wednesday (restaurant manager) and Greg (server). Everyone was extremely friendly and accomodating. The entire place is stunning and every detail has been thought out down to L'Occitane en Provence amenities in each bathroom. The food was also great and the complimentary beignets and coffee in the morning were a great touch. I cannot recommend this inn enough.

I had stayed in the previous iteration of this inn many years ago. The new owners have spared no effort to make this a wonderful place to stay. We happened upon it by chance and were able to get the last room, which was in the attic loft. Truly wonderful furnishings and bathroom. Loved everything about it. Nothing to gripe about. Quiet, charming, roomy, well equipped. Butler service is excellent. Front desk is excellent. Dining room and food are excellent. The grounds are lovely. Did not get a chance to use the pool or spa facilities, but imagine they are the same. Toured the property. Great place for a large event, wedding, meeting, etc. ok, it is fairly expensive for Orange, but the true test is whether one would stay there again if in the area and the answer is a resounding "yes". I hate giving great reviews to small places as they become more difficult to book, but they deserve it in this particular case. Loved our all too brief stay.

Had a great getaway to Willow and Orange!

I hadn't been to the Inn at Willow Grove for a few years. We were looking for a mid-week getaway, someplace that would be an easy drive (we live close to D.C), and that would give us confidence in safety during these times.

I spoke with management several times to plan a very special time. We got a picnic basket upon arrival (I highly recommend!), as well as champagne in the room. The grounds are as peaceful as I remember. The dinner there at Vintage restaurant was top notch. Very, very impressive meal!! Our servers were so attentive, charming, and polished. We had a private cove-style area for our dine-meal. We agreed it's one of the best meals we've had together. They also have outdoor seating on the patio, where we had breakfast. They took very good precautions to distance guests from others and still create a warm and inviting food service.

We stayed in a Creekside cottage. I stayed in the main Inn previously. The room was very comfortable and quiet at night. If we return, we would probably choose the Overlook building because the view of the field and sunset is so amazing, but we were very happy with our space too.

We had a small issue on the first full day there that I'll share for management consideration. We had the Do Not Disturb sign on the door until after we returned from breakfast. Then after getting ready for our day we left the room (around 12:30 pm) and removed the sign. When we came back around 6pm the room had not been cleaned or replenished. We had to call twice for service (all we really needed at that point were towels) and waited over 1-1/2 hours for that.

And, I think because someone came to bring us towels, we were then overlooked for the evening turn down service. While certainly not a necessity, the turn down service is really lovely--tea and sweets, etc. For $275/night, it's a nice addition that makes you feel pampered and valued. We were sorry to have missed out on that because we had the Do Not Disturb sign on our door earlier.

It may be that the staff is limited at this time, and if so that's understandable. If they only have housekeeping available in the morning that should shared upon check in. We would have been happy to work with any constraints if we had known.

All in all, we were so happy to be there and thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Inn and in the area--we enjoyed the wineries that are now open for tasting or flights! I remembered Willow Grove as a wonderful experience and this recent trip did not disappoint.

My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary at the Inn as Virginia is opening back up businesses June 2020. We had a wonderful experience and were impressed by the attentive and professional service. We enjoyed wonderful massages at the spa and relaxed by the pool with poolside lunch and drinks. The food and wine at Vintage Restaurant is superb and the sommelier's recommendation between a few wines I was considering was excellent. If you are looking for a relaxing, not crowded, getaway in Virginia during this time you will find it at the Inn!
