The Pink Lady

The pastel Pink Lady cocktail is the hotel's signature drink, nodding to both La Valencia's nickname and iconic paint color and a tile mosaic of a pink-wearing Spanish woman that has graced the hotel's ocean-facing garden since 1928. The recipe for this rosy-hued concoction has evolved a bit through the years, with previous iterations being more fruit-forward, crafted out of vodka, basil oil, watermelon juice, lemon juice, and simple syrup. However, its current incarnation has gone back to the classic cocktail's botanical roots, including rose gin, elderflower liqueur, Brut rosé, and lemon juice. Although guests will need to visit the hotel's La Sala Lounge or Mediterranean Room to sip on the present version, its fruitier predecessor can be shaken up at home.
