Step off the Cable Car at the corner of California and Montgomery Streets and into a historic hotel in the heart of San Francisco. The site originally housed a granite structure built in 1906, but in 1926 the site was razed for a new bank facility called the Financial Center Building. The Renaissance Revival-style building was designed by San Franciscan Frederick H. Meyer. Omni San Francisco Hotel preserves the timeless beauty of this elegant building, the lobby of which is adorned with the structure’s original Italian marble and Austrian crystal chandeliers. The San Francisco hotel is located near many famous sites including Union Square, Chinatown, and North Beach.

- Discover the grandeur of Omni San Francisco Hotel and its Florentine Renaissance-style building. The original drawings from 1926 for the famous 17-story Financial Center Building, designed by renowned San Francisco architect Frederick H. Meyer in collaboration with Albin R. Johnson, led the historically accurate restoration. The first four floors of exterior granite were removed and the cast stone façade was recreated, and 10 floors of corniced brick and the top three floors of cast stone have been restored to replicate the original exterior of the historic building.
