Formal Dining Room
A stay at The Chestnut Inn is all about life’s simple pleasures, and that includes the various dining experiences offered. The heart of this upstate New York hotel's culinary scene is its formal dining room, which plays host to an elegant, French-inspired dinner Wednesday through Sunday, as well as a weekend brunch. In the evenings, diners can savor elevated dishes, many of which are infused with a Europe-meets-New York flair, like Hudson Valley Steelhead Trout, New York Duck à l’Orange, and Chicken Pot Pie Provençal. A prime rib feast is also served every week on Friday. On the weekends, meanwhile, guests can choose from an assortment of both sweet and savory brunch options, from New York Milled Flapjacks drizzled with local maple syrup to Chestnut Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon atop a scratch-made English muffin. Other special culinary offerings at the Inn include afternoon tea and a monthly jazz supper club.
