Boasting centuries of award-winning hospitality, the Gettysburg Hotel was the recipient of The 2013 Best Historic Hotel Award by Historic Hotels of America. Other awards include Best Hotel by Celebrate Gettysburg magazine, Best of Weddings by the Knot and Couple’s Choice Award by Wedding Wire. Opened as Scott’s Tavern in 1797, this iconic hotel weathered the Battle of Gettysburg and is steps away from the Wills House, where President Lincoln penned the Gettysburg Address. In 1991, the hotel restored its rooms and later acquired the majestic Gettysburg National Bank (1814), which is now a magnificent ballroom for weddings. In 2013, the hotel was transformed into an upscale, boutique-like property while still maintaining its historic integrity.
