Memorabilia
The Lodge at the Presidio sits in the center of the Presidio of San Francisco, a former U.S. Army post. The Lodge is located in the former Montgomery Street Barracks, which the government constructed between 1894 and 1897 to house six companies of artillery, two infantry companies, and a troop of cavalry. Reopened in 2018 as a historic hotel, The Lodge’s rich connection to both its military heritage—as well as that of the local Ohlone tribe—are on display throughout the grounds. Built in the shadow of the iconic Golden Gate Bridge, The Lodge at the Presidio now resides within the confines of a verdant, 1,500-acre national park overlooking the majestic San Francisco Bay.
