• Discover the Second Empire-style architecture of the Wentworth by the Sea. Built in 1874, this spectacular holiday destination was once the largest wooden structure located along New Hampshire's coast.



• Stroll the grounds where, in 1905, the Russian and Japanese delegations resided during negotiations to end the Russo-Japanese War. President Theodore Roosevelt’s initiation of the peace talks led to the Treaty of Portsmouth and a Nobel Peace Prize.



• Journey over to Fort Stark State Historic Site nearby. Constructed during the early 20th century, this former fortress was named after the great Revolutionary War hero, John Stark.
