Overview

The story of the Belleview Inn begins with Henry Plant, a railroad and steamship entrepreneur in the 19th century who realized that his passengers would need somewhere to stay. Plant built a grand, Queen Anne-style Victorian hotel that exuded Gilded Age grandeur in 1897. In 2016, a St. Petersburg-based property developer submitted a plan that would ensure the historic hotel’s survival as the Belleview Inn.

The Belleview Inn suites and guestrooms evoke the timelessness of the Gilded Age while also boasting a wide range of modern amenities. Guests have access to a wide range of activities, whether relaxing by the pool or keeping in shape at the fitness center. For guests interested in golf, the oldest courses in Florida sit just a few steps away at the Belleair Country Club, which features exclusive packages for those staying at the Belleview Inn. Maisie's Pantry values quality in the food and beverages made available to guests, with an array of breakfast items, as well as a bar that offers lighter fare, and a selection of beer and wine. Couples can also tie the knot at the Belleview Inn, either in the impressive Tiffany Room or outside on the Grand Event Lawn.

Belleview Inn is tucked away in beautiful Belleair, Florida, near the pristine white sand beaches of Clearwater, voted as Americas #1 Beach year after year. Enjoy the local restaurants, shops, and Pier 60 street fair just minutes from the hotel. The hotel is also just a short drive from the city of Tampa, making it convenient for business guests, sports fans, and cultural travelers.

Belleview Inn, a member of Historic Hotels of America since 2018, dates back to 1897.

Fun FactDuring World War II, the hotel was requisitioned by the US Army Air Corps to house troops stationed at the nearby Macdill Air Force Base in Tampa.
