While the Det Little Hotel has been in operation since 1993, it actually started out as a dentist’s office nearly a century prior. This rustic seaside destination resides in the town of Risør. It is one of the best preserved wooden towns in all of Europe, due to the historic white wooden houses that proliferate along its coastline. Once a small fishing village, Risør is today a popular vacation getaway. It features many bucolic wilderness trails to experience. Several impressive cultural institutions are also located nearby, such as Store Torv, the Bornholms Museum, and the Erichsens Gård.
