The smaller rooms can also be used for group work if needed, and the historical lobby can be transformed into a lounge for Fretheimssalen, the hotel’s historic venue. Green Conference
Fretheim Hotel is committed to protecting the environment and preserving the natural beauty of the world for future generations. As such, the hotel offers environmentally conscious customers an option to host a Green Conference. The concept of Green Conferences was created by the Eco-Lighthouse Foundation in 2012, with the aim of a more sustainable alternative to conferences. Among other initiatives, guests can expect a focus on organic food, minimizing the use of red meat and menus adapted to WWF World Wide Fund for Nature's seafood guide. In accordance with the Foundation's requirements, hosts looking to hold a Green Conference at Fretheim Hotel must be environmentally certified or be in the process of becoming certified.

For the actual wedding ceremony, Aurland municipality has four wonderful churches to choose from, all in close proximity to Flåm: Vangen Church in Aurland, Flåm Church in Flåm, Undredal Church in Undredal and Bakka Church in Nærøyfjorden. If guests prefer a civil ceremony, this can be arranged at the hotel, either in the garden or in one of the stately banqueting rooms. When it comes to food and drink, Fretheim hotel aims to provide the very best of local produce. Choose a three or five-course banquet menu, or try the Seasonal menu, featuring the Chef’s choice of the finest produce the current season has to offer.
