Built into the hallowed walls of Carcassonne, Hotel de la Cité Carcassonne-MGallery was once a medieval church. But in the early 20th century, two entrepreneurs decided to transform the structure into a luxurious boutique hotel. The hotel’s continued success is in large part due to the Pujol family, who have managed the site since 2010. Together, the Pujol family and Sofitel are honored to share this hotel with Carcassonne’s visitors. Hotel de la Cité Carcassonne-MGallery resides within Carcassonne, an ancient walled city nestled within France’s majestic Occitanie region. Overlooking the entire community, the hotel resides between the storied Eglise Saint-Nazaire and the impressive Château Comtal. This area is now a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site, which attracts thousands of visitors each year. Guests can easily explore Carcassonne from the Hotel de la Cité Carcassonne-MGallery, as many of the city’s wonderful historical landmarks are just a few meters beyond the hotel’s front door.
