  • upscale escape type of hotel

by MuffLa on 2018-11-14 05:53 pm

I stayed here for four days. It is an expensive hotel, but I was there for a conference and work payed. That does affect my review since I am less likely to be thinking about whether I got what I paid for.
The woman at the first desk was very nice and upgraded me at no cost just out of kindness. My room was really big with a seating area and a gorgeous view of the golf course. Waking up to the mountain view was incredible. It was a great room.
The hotel itself and the grounds are gorgeous. There are huge fireplaces in the the lobby that are surrounded by chairs. It was so perfect for reading and drinking. There is a hotel bar that could be a little crowded - but the bartenders were nice and the wine was yummy.
The hotel was a 15 minute uber ride from downtown Asheville, where the cute stores and restaurants are located.
Overall, I loved this hotel but probably wouldn't stay here if I had to pay.

  • Bucket list experience.

    by Eric S on 2018-11-14 02:35 pm

Truly a bucket list experience that people should try at least once. Staying in the historic section with the old elevator hidden in the elevator and sleeping with the large wooden pane windows open was so cool. The spa experience is like no other...beautiful, peaceful, therapeutic..just spectacular.

  • Majestic Facility

by Localaugusta on 2018-11-14 04:21 am

Grove Park Inn is a first class resort in Asheville. Everything about it was exceptionally well done. It started with our check in. The Uber-elevator operator Kenny added some information we loved. The dining experiences were excellent as was the atmosphere of the facility. We loved the stonework throughout the facility. The golf course looked good but the weather didn't cooperate.

  • Grove Park

    by JoeM5723 on 2018-11-12 00:45 am

Grove Park Inn is my favorite hotel that I have ever stayed in. I am not sure how you can beat tha ambience of the Sunset Terrace restaurant. The food is some of the best that I have ever eaten. Make sure you order the baked Alaska! I think the spa is world-class, the most relaxyplace in the world. I look forward to my yearly trip to Asheville and the Grove Park is the biggest reason.

  • what a buffet

    by ellend509 on 2018-11-11 08:27 pm

everyone told us that we had to try the omni hotel breakfast buffet. I happen to not be a buffet person. I never feel that the food stays warm, the omelette liner is always too look and it is too expensive for what I eat.

wrong again Ellen! this place was just perfect. the hotel lobby is a must see. I was sorry that I didn't have time to take the hotel tour. the budget is offered in this beautiful restaurant with great full window views. just beautiful. so Asheville.

the food was more than toy can imagine. although it was your normal breakfast food I still cannot figure out the recipe for their French toast. the way that they used cinnamon was excellent.

this place was so good that we went back for a second time. this morning was homemade donut morning. just think about it - it was all that and more.
