  • Surprise Birthday Trip!

    Surprise Birthday Trip!

We stayed here (balcony room that used to be Dr. Ellis' office) as a surprise for my birthday and we loved every single minute. I have been to the hotel several times for the ghost tour but this was my first time to stay and it did not disappoint! The room was super nice and being able to sit out on the balcony and just relax while taking in the sights and sounds was heavenly! Would LOVE to stay here again! Also - splurge on the breakfast buffet in The Crystal Dining Room - you will not regret it!!

We loved it so much. Booked one night and ended up staying two. They really take pride in making it feel like you've stepped back into the 1800s. Not a single problem during our stay. The staff is very polite and helpful. Now in my top 3 hotels I have ever stayed in.

The Crescent Hotel had great, friendly staff and we're very cautious about COVID 19. We had to wait for our room longer than we liked , but we're upgraded as a result and we're able to participate in guest activities and use shuttle as we waited. Lots of history, staff is knowledgeable. We missed the ghost tour but enjoyed the free haunted room tour.
No ghostly experience except perhaps with the water in our room which would not turn off after a shower.
    Will definitely return.

  • A step back in History......

    A step back in History......

This was our first visit to celebrate our 30th Anniversary and we were greeted with an upgraded suite which was a nice surprise! The staff was very kind and helpful. The hotel does offer all kinds of outdoor activities but none of them were set up the evening we were there. It would have been nice to have smores around the fire pits. We were able to enjoy cocktails in the lounge which were awesome but the ghost tours were sold out which was very disappointing...considering that was the main reason for staying there....buyer beware....add the ghost tickets to your reservations. It was fun walking around the grounds and learning about the history of the hotel. Breakfast was awesome and reasonably priced!!

  • Not worth it,

My wife and I stayed for two nights as part of a larger group. Check in staff were great as were the rest of the team but the condition of the room was very disappointing; the room was filthy, layers of accumulated dust on the ceiling fan, very low water pressure in the shower, window blinds broken, towel rail had fallen off the wall, tiles missing from bathroom floor, theadbare carpets.............the list goes on. We were also advised that no daily service would be provided however we could order fresh towels should we need them. We were charged an average of $370 per night for a shabby run down hotel that rides on the fact that it is "historic" Well maybe it is but that does not justify poor maintenance and lack of daily service.
I would not recommend this hotel at all
