Discover Battle House Renaissance Mobile Hotel & Spa, which sits on Andrew Jackson’s military headquarters during the War of 1812.

Battle House Renaissance Mobile Hotel & Spa, a member of Historic Hotels of America since 2009, dates back to 1852.

Battle House Renaissance Mobile Hotel & Spa was constructed amid the great industrialization and subsequent social reform movements that impacted America throughout the second-half of the 19th century.

The historic Battle House Hotel stands on the site of the old military headquarters set up by Andrew Jackson during the War of 1812. Fresh from his victory at Horseshoe Bend, Jackson arrived in Mobile to ward off invasion. When British forces made it clear they were headed toward New Orleans, Old Hickory marched from this hallowed spot to meet them. Over its history, the Battle House was visited by such notables as Jefferson Davis, Admiral Raphael Semmes, and Generals Bragg, Beauregard, and Taylor. Since the landmark Battle House reopened, Mobile’s living room welcomes visiting dignitaries, local socialites, and others desiring luxury accommodations in this historic Mobile hotel.
