• Discover the history of Urban Place, home of the Cork Factory Hotel. Originally home to Armstrong Cork and Kerr Glass companies, the former factory complex is now Urban Place, a hip mixed-use community comprised of residential apartments, restaurants, workspaces, and as of 2009, the Cork Factory Hotel and Cork and Cap Restaurant.

• Wander throughout the grounds. The hotel honors and preserves history with original wooden staircases, 19th-century interior brick walls, and exposed wood-beamed ceilings in the guestrooms. If these walls could talk, they would speak a familiar narrative of enterprise and industry.  

• Marvel at the reminders of the past juxtaposed with state-of-the-moment modernity. Located off the lobby, mounted on exposed brick walls near Cork and Cap Restaurant, are distinctive iron castings and tools that represent a cross section of traditional Pennsylvania industries.
