- Discover the historic Moreton Bay fig tree in the courtyard of the Fairmont Miramar - Hotel & Bungalows. Georgina Jones, the wife of John Percival Jones, the founder of Santa Monica, planted the tree in the mansion's original rose garden in the 1880s, which she received as a gift. The tree is listed on the Official Registry of California Big Trees.
