Presidio Golf Course The Presidio Golf Course is among the most historic golf courses still active in the western United States. Its origins date to a group of local businesspeople who petitioned the Presidio’s commander to develop a golf course on-site in 1912.

Historical Image Of 30th Infantry Band On Main Post Parade Grounds For years, the Presidio of San Francisco acted as the home for the U.S. Army’s 30th Infantry Regiment. One of the army’s regular regiments, the outfit served with distinction in the 3rd Infantry Division during both World Wars.
