• Explore the delights of Madison Children’s Museum, an inspiring place where kids lead, and grownups follow. Their mission is to engage, challenge, and inspire every visitor who comes through the museum doors with custom-crafted, award-winning exhibits; providing programming that brings all ages together, and focusing on sustainability.

• Visit Wisconsin State Capitol, the tallest building in Madison, situated on an isthmus between Lake Mendota and Lake Monona. Gaze at the Wisconsin statue on top of the dome, sculpted in 1920 by Daniel Chester. Enjoy a free tour of the 30th state’s capitol. Notice the naturally occurring fossils found throughout the capitol and embedded in the marble walls and staircases.

• Travel to five Frank Lloyd Wright buildings in Madison. Wright lived in Madison in his adolescence and in nearby Spring Green during the height of his fame. Visitors can find his low-slung, prairie-style houses and grand public buildings scattered throughout the city. Several of Madison’s Wright-designed houses are still private residences, including the Walter Rudin House, the Robert Lamp House, Eugene Gilmore House (“Airplane House”). Other structures, such as the First Unitarian Meeting House and Monona Terrace, are must-see spots for architecture buffs and Wright devotees.
