The Jefferson Hotel Gingerbread Recipe

Ingredients:
4 pounds brown sugar
5 pounds butter
20 ounces water
2.5 ounces baking soda
2 quarts molasses
5 ounces ginger (ground)
12 pounds all-purpose flour 

Directions:
Cream the brown sugar and butter until fluffy, add in the molasses.
Mix until combined.
Add in water, scrape the bowl, and mix until combined.
Add in all the dry ingredients.
Mix to form a soft dough.
Refrigerate the dough overnight.
