Russell True Honored as 2026 True Westerner at White Stallion Ranch by Ken Amorosano for True West

On the evening of March 14, friends of the West gathered beneath the desert sky at White Stallion Ranch to celebrate a man whose life has been dedicated to preserving the traditions of Western hospitality.

In front of more than 80 guests—including visiting authors, historians, and writers attending the nearby Tucson Festival of Books—Russell True received the 2026 True Westerner Award, presented by Bob Boze Bell, executive editor of True West magazine.
