Walking Tour of Kildare
June 1st to August 31st guests experience a hands-on history lesson with a walking tour of Kildare, which departs from Kildare Town Heritage Centre in Market Square.

Golf Courses
Kildare is world renown for its golf courses, and guests here will find Kildare to be a golfer’s paradise. Hosting prestigious events such as the Ryder Cup, guests are challenged with championship golf courses. Nearby courses include The K Club, with its recently added new pavilion, is home to the Smurfit European Open. Also nearby is The Montgomerie Course, host of the Nissan Irish Open in 2005 and 2006, and The Curragh Golf Club, the oldest golf club in the country.

Punchestown Festival
In May, the highlight of any sporting and social calendar in Ireland comes to this area with the Punchestown Racing Festival, a famous Irish National Hunt festival signaling the end of the National Hunt season in Ireland.

Racecourses
The headquarters of flat racing in Ireland, nearby Curragh Racecourse hosts all five Classic Races, including the Irish Derby. Naas Racecourse provides recently redeveloped facilities for a lively day at the races.
