The Waldhaus originally opened under the direction of Josef Giger and his wife, Amalie. The two had successfully managed numerous luxury hotels throughout Europe beforehand. This historic gem is now operated under the watchful eye of their distant descendants, brothers Claudio and Patrick Dietrich. Their exceptional stewardship of Hotel Waldhaus Sils has earned them many prestigious accolades, including the title of “Historic Hotel of the Year” in 2005 by the Swiss International Council on Monuments and Sites.
