Gigers

The kitchen prepares seasonal and creative dishes, while also serving fondue and raclette. While the menu may vary, dishes are prepared fresh and with great care, using regional products whenever possible.

Arvenstube

For decades, Arvenstube has maintained relationships with local producers and vendors who supply high-quality regional products. Alongside fish and seafood, these ingredients help define classic Waldhaus cuisine. Guests can enjoy these dishes in the cozy atmosphere of the Arvenstube.

Great Lounge and The Bar

The Great Lounge is the heart of the Waldhaus. This light-filled room features large windows and a relaxed atmosphere. Guests can enjoy a glass of wine, a cocktail, or light snacks while reflecting on the day.

The bar offers live music in the evening, an extensive spirits selection, exclusive cigars, and light snacks. It provides a comfortable setting for guests to relax and unwind.

Chef's Table

Up to 12 guests can experience the delight of sitting at the exclusive Chef's Table in the Waldhaus kitchen. See the kitchen at full force after a leisurely tour of the hotel's finely curated wine cellar.

Dining Room

The Dining Room showcases classic elegance through its architectural details and historic ambiance. Imposing walls, panoramic windows, chandeliers, and candlelight contribute to the setting.

Terrace

During warmer weather, guests can enjoy the Waldhaus terrace. Shady larches and the sounds of the Waldhaus Trio contribute to a relaxing outdoor setting during the Engadine summer.

Afternoon Tea

Enjoy a steaming cup of piping hot tea at the Hotel Waldhaus in the afternoons.

Wine

The culinary staff at the Hotel Waldhaus Sils believe that you should still drink the best wine, even if you drink very little of it. Boasting a varied and vibrant collection of fine wines, the 35,000 bottles in the cellar are chosen with a discerning eye, but also with a touch of the love and family spirit that maintains the Hotel Waldhaus Sils.

The Omelette Surprise

The Omelette Surprise—otherwise known as the “Omelette Norvégienne” or the “Baked Alaska”—is a savory dessert that the Hotel Waldhaus Sils served when it first opened in 1908. After a brief time in which the dish was no longer prepared, the kitchen staff decided to resurrect the Omelette Surprise during the hotel’s 111th anniversary. Now offered at the Chef’s Table, the Hotel Waldhaus Sils creates the Omelette Surprise fresh for its guests to enjoy.
