Castle Hot Springs sprawls across 1,100 acres of Arizona’s Sonoran Desert, just north of the Phoenix metropolitan area. The wellness resort boasts a relatively remote location far from the hustle and bustle of the city, inviting guests to really unplug and unwind. In fact, to get to Castle Hot Springs, visitors will need to navigate seven miles of occasionally rough yet well-traveled dirt road, traveling past Lake Pleasant (one of the state’s largest) and even a family of burros that calls the area home. Alternatively, for a truly spectacular arrival, guests can also opt to travel to the resort in VIP fashion via helicopter (booked separately). Although visitors will find any activities or amenities they might need right there at the resort, popular attractions like Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin West, Old Town Scottsdale, Camelback Mountain, Desert Botanical Garden, and the Phoenix Zoo are roughly an hour’s drive away.
Driving Directions
Please note that nearly all vehicles can successfully traverse the seven-mile dirt road that leads to Castle Hot Springs. That said, traveling by SUV or truck is recommended. Furthermore, Uber, Lyft, and other rideshare or taxi services do not travel to the resort area. So, be sure to plan accordingly. When onsite, parking and valet service are available and complimentary for registered resort guests.
