Driving Directions

The Greyfield Inn is only accessible by ferry. The inn’s private ferry departs from the city of Fernandina Beach on Amelia Island, Florida. The ferry ride takes approximately 40 minutes. To reach the embarkment point from the north, take Interstate 95 to Highway 17 South (Exit 380). Turn left at the end of the ramp onto Highway 17 South and go seven miles, then turn left at the first traffic light. Stay on Highway A1A for 11.8 miles to Centre Street. Turn left onto Centre Street, turn right on 2nd Street, travel 200 feet to the Greyfield parking lot on the left. Exit the parking lot through the rear gate, cross the railroad tracks and walk through the municipal parking lot to the boardwalk. Meet at Dock 3 at the “Lucy R. Ferguson/Greyfield” sign. The dock is to the right, or north side, of Brett’s Waterway Restaurant.

From the south, take Interstate 95 to Highway A1A (Exit 373). Turn right at the end of the ramp. Then follow A1A east for 14.8 miles to Centre Street. Turn left onto Centre Street. Turn right on 2nd Street, travel 200 feet to the Greyfield parking lot on the left. Exit the parking lot through the rear gate, cross the railroad tracks and walk through the municipal parking lot to the boardwalk. Meet at Dock 3 at the “Lucy R. Ferguson/Greyfield” sign. The dock is to the right, or north side, of Brett’s Waterway Restaurant.

Nearest Airport

Jacksonville Airport is the closest major airport to Amelia Island. Limousine and taxi service from the airport to the ferry embarkation point is available.
