• Discover the red brick façade of The Lodge at the Presidio, located in the historic heart of the Presidio, a former army post founded in 1776 that is now a vibrant national park. The Lodge encompasses the former Montgomery Street Barracks, built between 1895 and 1897 to house six artillery companies, a cavalry troop, and two infantry companies.

• Enjoy the many historic elements of the original structure that were preserved. To honor the original 1897 floor plan of the barracks, wallpaper distinguishes new walls from the original walls, and the contrasting wood on the lobby floor reflects the history of the structure.

• Discover The Lodge’s rich native Ohlone and military history, which is showcased throughout The Lodge with memorabilia, original art, found objects, and historic photographs.
