Originally a log cabin hotel built by the Bullitt family in 1766 near the natural mineral springs of the Virginia mountains, The Omni Homestead Resort rose swiftly to renown as a luxurious American retreat. In 1943, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt called for a United Nations Conference on Food and Agriculture to be held at the resort, and in 1967 The Omni Homestead Resort hosted the U.S. Women’s Open.
