Palazzo Donà Giovannelli was built with splendid reception spaces meant for entertaining and socializing. The grand salons hosted the wedding of the Princess of Parma in the 16th century, the Congress of Italian Scientists in 1847, and countless celebrations and gatherings in between. Hosts today can tailor the use of the space to receive and entertain guests in elegant style. The historic spaces offer configurations suited to private events and cultural exchanges. Use of the dining areas for private dinners is also available. Contact Orient Express Venezia with inquiries.

Salone Vittoria
Opening onto the Santa Fosca canal, the luminous Salone Vittoria was designed in 1548 to celebrate the marriage of the Duke of Urbino’s son to Vittoria Farnese, Princess of Parma. Located on the historic main floor, the historic reception hall preserves the architectural grandeur of the palazzo and serves as an elegant setting for weddings, gala dinners, anniversaries, and private celebrations.

Sala della Cultura
Sala della Cultura, a grand reception area, once hosted the Congress of Italian Scientists in 1847. Restored with respect for its original features, like the hand-painted frescoes, the space continues to be used for meetings, conferences, and cultural events.

Sala della Musica
The Sala della Musica evokes the aristocratic salons where families and guests once gathered at the end of the day, when relaxing music became the focus. As such, a grand piano structures the space in continuity with its original spirit. Designed for intimate settings, the room is best suited for private dinners, cocktail gatherings, readings, and musical performances.
