    It's been a few weeks since our stay so I have had time to calm down about the treatment that my friends and I received at the Hotel Hershey. I arrived to be told by the front desk girl that I was not staying there but rather at "The Lodge". I told her - No - I booked the room on the Hotel Hershey site. I've booked a few rooms in nice hotels in my day - we were there to celebrate my friends 50th birthday, so I know where I booked. She said - "Well, it's down the road". No "sorry, let me check", no let's see what I can do - nothing. I had 6 other friends staying there and we were having a full day of spa treatments. I told her we were needed to get to the Oasis for Lunch and our Treatments and that I needed them to hold our luggage until I was done so that we could get this figured out. She said "We can't do that". I said - well get me a manager and we will discuss it. What was I supposed to do - wait to get my car back from the Valet and then put our bags in it so that we could valet again in order to go to their spa? This is insanity and this girl is RUDE and unhelpful. She finally agreed to hold the bags. We get to the Oasis in the Spa for lunch. Our friends were already there in their robes. We hugged, sat down and then...nothing. No greeting from a waitress, no "Can I take your drink order?". No - hey, the buffet is open when you're ready. Nothing. No one. After 15 minutes we figured it out and went and got our food. When my friend pointed out to the lady that seated us that we had not been approached for drinks, her answer was "Well, they just got here". There's that 5 Star Attitude. Our reservation was at 11, we did not see the buffet until 11:45 and again, there are 7 of us. We were having fun and there was only 2 other tables with people in the entire restaurant when at exactly 12:40 the manager Matt informed us that he had reservations for 1:00 for OUR table and that we needed to wrap it up. YOU CAN"T MAKE THIS STUFF UP. The restaurant was DEAD. Probably because the food was terrible. Push some other tables together! Nope - time for us to go. This was a first for all of us. 7 working, professional women getting tossed out of the restaurant. I do need to note that 2 of our friends that checked in earlier were given keys to a room that people were in. Safety concern. I know it happens. but shouldn't happen here. I will give a shout out to our server Elizabeth and the food at Trivoli 5. We had a great time at the restaurant and she was awesome. We finally ended the night with a good time. They did finally find me a room after I had already gone down to "The Lodge", parked my car and had to get a car back for my spa services, (Thanks to Jerry at the Lodge for finding a car to bring me back in and getting me to my services on time) but I digress. HA Would never stay there again. For the money we spent there and the service, attitude and un-hospitality shown - it was 2 stars at best. And I only give it that for the actual messages and dinner at Trivoli.

  • Brought 3 other couples here to visit the AACA fall meet. Ist time here for 2 of those couples.

    This resort is Excellent in every respect. If I had any criticism at all it would be that the Shower is a little tight. We brought 3 other couples with us and were confident that they would be pleased. They were and I believe all will be back. Not cheap but worth every penny!

  • A chocolate lover's sanctuary!

    We stayed at one of the Woodside Cottages. They are wonderful. Quiet and nestled in a forested area. The cottages are a short walk or ride to the main hotel and all the Hershey attractions. Very well maintained with beautiful landscaping. The highlight, however, is the Hershey Spa. You can have treatments with chocolate, coconut, mojito, coffee and strawberry to name a few. There are no celery sticks or carrot sticks in the spa; there are kisses, Reeses and delicious baked goods. The hot chocolate was incredible!

  • Delightful Experience Celebrating 60th Anniversary

    An elegant hotel reminiscent of the nineteen hundreds. Spectacular views (fountains, garden) beautiful comfortable furnishings). An efficient staff (Check-in, Valets, Room Service, Dining Room) went out of their way to be helpful and to assure we were comfortable. Only thing that I would have changed is we were not informed that Dining Room is only accessible by stairs and the Harvest Restaurant is not connected to main portion of Hotel.

  • A wonderful experience

    This historic hotel was built by Milton Hershey in 1933. The grounds and style are beautiful. We were able to check right in and received a full size Hershey bar with our key. The bellman was quick and informative. We had a nice room with a comfy king bed. The room was quiet with a view on the town. There are plenty of cute shops and restaurants on site. We had an amazing Italian meal at Trevi 5. I would stay here again.
