The Jekyll Island Club Resort is a full-service holiday destination featuring a wide variety of accommodations that include 157 guestrooms and luxury suites. Recent renovations in 2020 have guaranteed that every historical accommodation onsite will provide nothing less than the most memorable guest experience. (Beach access with complimentary beach chairs and umbrellas are also available for every guestroom type.) Most of the guestrooms and suites are located within the Clubhouse, which the resort’s original members constructed as their main meeting place in 1888. The Clubhouse features a timeless, historic setting and lush comforts. It is also the central gathering place for resort-based dining, lounging, and meetings. Within the Clubhouse, guests will find a number of outstanding guestroom-types that will enchant all who step inside. Located in the main building and its accompanying annex, the Clubhouse Queen guestrooms are quaint retreats furnished with a queen-sized bed and Victorian décor. Clubhouse Deluxe King guestrooms are also spacious accommodations that boast a king-size bed or two double-size beds. Those magnificent venues even have a seating space with overstuffed chairs, as well as an enclosed sun porch or balcony. Also prevalent within the Clubhouse are the Clubhouse Deluxe King suites, which contains a full living room furnished with a sofa bed and a bedroom with two double beds or a king-size bed. Guests will encounter a large garden tub in the bathroom, too. As such, the two-room Clubhouse Deluxe King Suites are some of the best accommodations at the Jekyll Island Club Resort. The resort recently debuted its newest addition, the Ocean Club, as well. Featuring 40 beautiful oversized suites, every space within the Ocean Club provides awe-inspiring views of the coast and only the finest amenities. It is also within close proximity to a pool deck, a firepit, and an open-air dining establishment called “Eighty Ocean Kitchen and Bar.” The guestrooms present at the Ocean Club are the Oceanview Queen Suite and the Oceanview King Suite, as well as their ADA-compliant equivalents.

Many of the other historical buildings throughout the grounds have recently been converted into outstanding lodgings, too. Built in 1896, Sans Souci is one of the most iconic structures on the resort grounds. It was created by J.P. Morgan and a group of fellow members to serve as one of America’s first condominiums. Today, it has been converted into a quaint hotel that exudes breathtaking elegance and sophisticated details. Its wood floors, leaded art glass, stairways, and skylights are all original to the time when J.P. Morgan walked its halls. Inside reside 24 unique guestrooms, including the Sans Souci Guestroom, King, the Sans Souci Deluxe Guestroom, King, and the Sans Souci Deluxe Suite, King. All possess brilliant Gilded Age flair and have the most cutting-edge technology. The Sans Souci Deluxe Suite is the greatest of those accommodations, featuring a relaxing living space and brilliant furnishings. The historic Crane Cottage offers even more luxurious guestrooms to experience within a secluded setting. Once built by the great industrialist Richard T. Crane, this magnificent Spanish Revival-style structure contains 13 brilliant accommodations that radiate the resort’s historical charm. The Crane King Suite is the iconic feature within the building, offering a cozy living quarters and a spacious bedroom. Some deluxe layouts include a gas fireplace, Jacuzzi, and views of the sunken garden, Faith Chapel, and/or the river. And constructed by Dr. George Frederick Shirley—President Ulysses S. Grant’s personal doctor—the Cherokee is a wonderful cottage that offers ten spectacular guestrooms. Situated upstairs in the building are the Cherokee King Suites with their king-size beds and Victorian furnishings. The luxurious Cherokee King Suite is comprised of a bedroom furnished with a king-size bed, a gas fireplace, and an attached sunroom. The suite even includes a butler pantry with a sink and a small refrigerator, as well as a bath with a Jacuzzi and a separate stand up shower.
