• Sip and take in the scene at the Skirvin Hilton's Red Piano Lounge, a popular bar and piano lounge that serves artfully made cocktails ranging from the Manhattan to the signature Perle Mesta, named for the socialite, political hostess, and daughter of hotel founder William Skirvin.

• Dine at the historic Cheever's Café, anchored in a Art Deco building that was once a floral shop owned by then-local luminaries Oklahoma Belle Cunningham and her husband L.L. Cheever. It's now a popular contemporary comfort food destination but retains echoes of its past. The glass-walled, refrigerated case that once served the flower shop now holds wine, beer, fresh flowers and the restaurant's signature desserts.

• Stroll the paths of the Historic Oklahoma City Farmers Public Market, which has been a food hub for Oklahomans since 1928. The venue itself features the state's largest wooden dance floor. Also shop the companion Antique Mall, originated in 1971, which spotlights unique collectibles, art, and houseware.
