• Explore the Palais des Nations mere moments away. Constructed in the aftermath of World War I, this amazing historic destination originally served as the headquarters for the now-defunct League of Nations. The Palais des Nations now operates as the European office to the League of Nations’ heir, the United Nations.
• Visit the historic St. Pierre Cathedral and its fabulous Neoclassical façade. The earliest parts of the building actually date to the 1100s, although an even older church resided at the site in the 4th century. The influential Protestant preacher, John Calvin, called the cathedral home at the height of his ecclesiastical career.
• Travel to the Monument de la Réformation within the tranquil Parc des Bastions. This intricately carved stone monument was developed in 1917 to commemorate Geneva’s role in the Protestant Reformation. Among the historic figures featured in the Monument de la Réformation are John Calvin, Guillaume Farel, and Théodore de Bèze.
