Located near Rossio Square and Avenida da Liberdade, Hotel Britania Art Deco is the last remaining Art Deco hotel in Lisbon. Designed by famous modernist architect Cassiano Branco in 1942 and debuting as Hotel do Império, this boutique hotel has been meticulously restored to its former glory. From the round stone windows that flank the main arched entrance, the building catches the eye with its bold design. Its interiors reflect the period perfectly with original polished marble, chrome lamps, and brass fittings, and a nautical theme runs throughout the hotel, alluding to Portugal’s past explorations. Guests have access to a cozy library, a relaxing lounge, and a lively bar. With its spectacular location, spacious accommodations, and welcoming service, Hotel Britania Art Deco is consistently voted as the traveler's top choice in Lisbon.
