As one of the most historic destinations in the entire United States, its history has long been accompanied by tales of the paranormal. Some guests claim to encounter the spirits of former soldiers, as well as ghostly children who somehow manage to creep into pictures. Disembodied voices are heard within the historic pool, alarming people while they are in the middle of a relaxing swim. Other disembodied voices—including that of a young girl—are reported to resonate throughout the halls of the Colonial Building. A few employees attest seeing an apparition sitting inside one of the cubicles at the resort’s reservation office. Surprisingly, these witnesses insist that the ghost is even capable of typing at the computer!
