Facing the open ocean, Støtt is situated by the coastal shipping lane in the far north of the Helgeland coast. Our idyllic archipelago looks north to the jagged peaks of the Lofoten Islands, while to the south you peer over a myriad of islands, with the Meløy Alps dominating the distance.
Restaurant Gammelbutikken has a rustic ambience, with surroundings that are a living testimony to Helgeland’s ancient and thriving coastal culture. Chef prepares memorable dishes of the freshest fish from nearby waters – and is the only restaurant in Norway that dries its own stockfish. The menu features cod and halibut, whale, our famous fish soup and our speciality, boknafisk.
